The St. Petersburg Thunder beat the Pine Island Dolphins, 11-6, at Baby Thunder Dome. Bernard Myers, in particular, was impressive. He went 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 5. With the loss, Pine Island drops to 2-6.

Myers made an early impact for St. Petersburg when he stroked his 1st home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came in the bottom of the third, put the Thunder on top, 3-0.

"We maximized our offense today," said St. Petersburg skipper Emílio Sáenz. "That makes everyone's life easier."
