Westwood Gets 4-1 Win
|
The Westwood Sixshooters topped the Toledo Saboteurs, 4-1, in M3L Double A action at Toledo Backyard Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Westwood pitcher Dave McCormick. In 7.2 innings, McCormick surrendered 8 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. He allowed 1 run. Earning his 4th save of the year was Sean Hamilton.
Cam McIntosh, the 25-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. McIntosh contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the second inning to put Westwood up, 3-1.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," McCormick said.
With the victory, the Sixshooters upped their record to 51-46.
