Sixshooters Upend MotorBoaters, 4-1
|
Westwood pitcher Juan De La Garza did his part in helping his team beat the Lake Murray MotorBoaters, 4-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Sean Hamilton picked up the save, his 3rd. With the win, the Sixshooters improved to 49-41.
Virgil Haynes didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to put Westwood on top, 1-0.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Sixshooters manager Héctor Montoya, "I like our chances."
