Rails Deal Saboteurs 6-2 Defeat
|
The Richland Rails stymied the Toledo Saboteurs, 6-2, at Toledo Backyard Park. Willie Davidson had a good day at the plate. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for Richland. Kaimalie Heathershaw, the winner, improved to 3-1. He held the Saboteurs to 2 runs on 4 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 4. The save went to Chang-ho Kim, his 1st this season.
Richland grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Davidson, who is tied for 9th in the 3AA in home runs with 12, hit a 2-run home run. His 12th home run of the season put the Rails out in front, 4-2.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Davidson. "And not try to do too much."
The Rails now have a record of 42-45 with the win over Toledo.
