Rails Bridle Sixshooters, 2-1
|
Richland used a superb performance from starting pitcher Kaimalie Heathershaw to down the Westwood Sixshooters, 2-1. Heathershaw, now 2-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 7, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. With the win, Richland goes to 38-44, while the Sixshooters fall to 45-37.
The Rails benefited from a costly error in the top of the fourth. With Zachary Glover at bat and Richland leading 1-0, the Westwood miscue allowed Richland to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Glover said.
