Mastenbroek Twirls a Gem for Richland
|
Richland got a strong outing from Elroy Mastenbroek as the Rails defeated the Lancaster Farmers, 3-1, at Farmers Field. Richland now sits in 8th place in the Menard's AA at 37-44.
Mastenbroek's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 6 innings while allowing 1 hit. Mastenbroek, who is tied for 10th in the 3AA with a 10 quality starts, goes to 8-4 on the year with 92 strikeouts.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Mastenbroek said.
