Arthur Corrigan could take little solace in pitching a good game. The fact is his Richland Rails lost, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Toledo Saboteurs at Rails Ballpark. Earning his 1st save for Toledo was Gil Childers. The Saboteurs now have a record of 22-52.

The Rails had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Saboteurs going into the top of the third inning. That changed quickly when the 27-year old center fielder Mike Robinson came to the plate. Robinson hit a 2-run home run on a first pitch fastball from Richland hurler Arthur Corrigan. It was Robinson's 4th home run of the year.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Saboteurs manager José Zamora. "This one was nice to get."
