Lancaster Falls, 4-2, as Skid Hits 9 Games

The Nuevo Mexico Mariachis beat the Lancaster Farmers, 4-2, at Mariachi Band Shell. The win was due in part to third baseman Nick Allen, who went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times. Picking up the win was Eric Riley. He went 6.1 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits. The right--hander struck out 2 and walked 2. Jared Carlisle closed the game out for Nuevo Mexico, earning his 14th save.
Allen contributed in the bottom of the second. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Nuevo Mexico get the win.
"The effort we put into this one paid off," Allen said.
The losses continue to pile up for Lancaster, which has now fallen 9 times in a row.
