The first-place Northville Eclipse picked up another win.
Naohiro Ueno was superb against Arizona. The left-hander, who is tied for 9th in the 3AA in wins with 5, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Eclipse victory. The score was 7-4. Ueno, the winner, moves to 5-3. He threw 5 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 9 and giving up 1 walk.
Paolo Roelands dealt the Javelina a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Northville leading 2-1, Roelands hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run single.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Ueno said.
Northville goes to 37-15. The win puts them 4½ games up in their division.
