Saboteurs Get 7-4 Win Versus Richland
|
Vincente Valentín helped his team muscle past the Richland Rails, 7-4. In the game, the Toledo first baseman went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times. Ronnie Vis, the winning pitcher, is now 1-0. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 7 hits, while fanning 11 and walking 0. Cristo Sánchez earned the save for Toledo, his 10th of the year.
Toledo used the bat of Dave Chambers to capture the win. The left fielder jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Saboteurs ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
