Lancaster Beats Northville, 3-1
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Lancaster Farmers and Northville Eclipse.
Josh Sargent pitched well, but his team, the Northville Eclipse, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Lancaster Farmers at Old-Timers Park. Reliever Chris MacIntyre picked up the win. His record improves to 3-2. Josh Sargent took the loss.
Lancaster used the timely hitting of Johnny Hines to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Farmers ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Lancaster manager Dave Davis said afterward.
The Farmers are now 18-27, while the Eclipse fall to 32-13.
