Sixshooters Win at Lancaster, 4-3
|
The Westwood Sixshooters picked up a win at Farmers Field, taking down the Lancaster Farmers, 4-3. Starting pitcher Juan De La Garza was a big reason why. Westwood has a record of 25-15, placing them third in the Menard's AA.
Westwood used the bat of José Escalante to get the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Sixshooters ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," De La Garza told the Westwood Chronicle.
