Eclipse Stay Hot with Extra-Inning Win
In a close game at Javelina Ballpark, the Northville Eclipse edged the Arizona Javelina, 4-3. Northville center fielder Joe Saunders stood apart with his performance. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Northville reliever José González picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Michael Humphreys shouldered the loss. Hussain Farooq earned the save for Northville, his 1st of the year.

Northville used the timely hitting of Kerkko Kivikoski to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Eclipse on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

In postgame remarks, Saunders simply said: "Here's to a great win!"

The first-place Eclipse raised their record to 23-10.
