Rails Stick Fat Cats with 2-1 Loss
|
The Richland Rails got a stellar effort from pitcher Arthur Corrigan, helping Richland score a win over the visiting Ottawa Fat Cats, 2-1. The save was credited to Martín Cedeño, his 4th. The 10th-place Rails are now 11-18, the Fat Cats 19-10.
Making an impact for the home team was Lanny Coleman. In the bottom of the second, the 20-year old catcher had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 2-0, Rails.
"The old adage is true," said Coleman. "Good pitching stops good hitting."
