Northville shortstop Cate McMahon helped his team beat the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 7-6. McMahon, who is tied for 9th in the 3AA in extra base hits with 10, went 2 for 2 for the Eclipse. Yuan Hsueh, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits. José González closed it out for his 9th save.

In the bottom of the sixth, Northville first baseman Paolo Roelands put his team on top. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit his 1st home run of the year. Nuevo Mexico pitcher Cameron Davies served it up. Just like that, the Eclipse were ahead, 7-5.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," McMahon told the Northville Bulletin.

With the win, Northville pushed its record to 16-7.
