Bowties Curb Flamingos, 3-1
|
The Buckhead Bowties topped the Las Vegas Flamingos by the score of 3-1, with the biggest share of the credit going to right fielder Tony Fulton. Fulton went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Bowties on the day. The winning pitcher was Cole Brown. He tossed 105 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. Walt Gould was called on to finish, recording his 25th save.
Early in the game, Fulton had a 3-run home run for Buckhead. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Bowties on top, 3-0.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Fulton.
The Bowties now have a mark of 41-61.
