Getting an impressive start from Chris Jackson, Thunder Bay beat Northern Virginia by the score of 3-2. Jerry Sargent picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-3. Sean Jones was tagged with the loss. The 10th-place Northern Lions BC have won 6 straight.

Thunder Bay won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With two outs and Sean Jones on the mound for Northern Virginia, left fielder Marcantonio Talamante hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Northern Lions BC fans to their feet.

"Winning is all that really matters and we got it done today," Jackson told the Thunder Bay Herald.
