A good time was had by all at The Strip, where the Nova Scotia Leviathan and Las Vegas Flamingos tangled.
The Las Vegas Flamingos got a magnificent effort from pitcher Nelson McNeil, who kept Nova Scotia hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Flamingos win at The Strip. McNeil went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 5-6. Earning his 11th save for Las Vegas was Don Williams.
Las Vegas took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Raúl Miranda hit a run-scoring single to make it 1-0, Flamingos.
"I had everything working," said McNeil.
The victory makes Las Vegas 30-59.
