|
Chris Jackson never let Nova Scotia get something going. The Thunder Bay right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Northern Lions BC to a 5-1 win. Jackson, the winner, moves to 7-4. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. The Northern Lions BC saw their record improve to 34-44.
In the bottom of the third, Thunder Bay catcher Dusty Crum had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Crum stroked a 2-run single to left. It made the score 4-1, Thunder Bay. For the game, he was 1-4. He drove in 2 runs.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Jackson. "I think we showed that here."
