Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC starter Arthur Ward was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 3-2. Dan Taylor collected save number 6. The 'W' lifts Thunder Bay's record to 33-43.
Thunder Bay took a 3-1 lead on Jacob Grimsey's 12th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Grimsey hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Nova Scotia pitcher Andrew Johnson visibly frustrated.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Ward said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
