Alan Sanderson pitched a gem in leading Echo Park to a 3-1 victory over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC. Sanderson got the win, improving to 3-5. He allowed 2 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Sanderson allowed no runs. Echo Park goes to 32-36, Thunder Bay to 30-38.

In the bottom of the seventh, Ed Lewis put Echo Park in front with a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 1st and 2nd, he rapped a run-scoring single, making the score 3-1, Lakers.

"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," Sanderson said.
