In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

A 4-RBI performance from first baseman Ruff McGruffin, who finished 5th in the 3L in doubles with 35 in 2047, led the Charleston Battery to a win over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 7-2. Charleston, now 30-30, holds down 6th place in the Third League.

With Charleston trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the second, McGruffin hit a 2-run single off Thunder Bay hurler Chris Jackson. It was the 24th hit of the season for McGruffin and put his team ahead, 2-1.

"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
