Leviathan Lose to Battery, 6-4
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Charleston Battery and Nova Scotia Leviathan.
The Charleston Battery beat the Nova Scotia Leviathan, 6-4. Charleston pitcher and Pinecrest, Florida, native Everett Pratt led the way. Pratt picked up the win for Charleston, going 7 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-1. James Tucker finished to wrap up his 11th save.
The Battery got a big at-bat from third baseman Ji-hoon Ku. For the game, Ku was 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Charleston a 6-4 lead.
"Feels good to get the job done," Ku said after the game.
The Battery, at 24-25, sit in 6th place in the Third League.
