Echo Park got a terrific game from left fielder Donald Anderson. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Charleston, 8-3. Anderson went 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. Charleston now has a 3-game win streak.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Steve Scott? The Charleston right fielder had a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Battery on top, 6-2. For the game, Scott had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"I don't lose sleep over a loss," said Scott. "But I have better dreams after a win."
