Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Ottawa Fat Cats and Richland Rails.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Ottawa Fat Cats and the Richland Rails, Claude Simon was the difference-maker. The Ottawa right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The winning pitcher was Simon, now 1-1. He tossed 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 8. Jonathan Luna recorded the save, his 4th.

Jim Nance had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Fat Cats. Coming up with the bases loaded and Ottawa trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single.

"I really like what we did out there today," Nance said after the game.

Richland, now 3-9, continues its tough start.
