Loss to Sixshooters Extends Toledo Losing Streak
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Toledo Saboteurs.
The Westwood Sixshooters defeated the Toledo Saboteurs, 7-4. Doing his part was second baseman Todd Huffman, who was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The loss drops Toledo to 3-8.
Virgil Haynes, the 22-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Haynes contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the third inning to put Westwood up, 3-1.
"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Toledo manager José Zamora.
