Fur Traders Fall Short, 2-1, at Northville
|
The Northville Eclipse got a magnificent effort from pitcher B.J. McLean, who kept Tacoma hitters in check en route to a 2-1 Eclipse win at Old-Timers Park. José González earned save number 6 this season. The loss puts Tacoma at 2-8.
The Eclipse got a big at-bat from right fielder Conan Robison. For the game, Robison went 1-4 with a home run. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Northville a 2-1 lead.
"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said Eclipse manager Pedro Ángel, "I like our chances."
