In a low-scoring affair between the Tortolita Drummers and the Calgary Lynx, pitcher Sixto Bustamante was the difference between victory and defeat. The Tortolita left-hander earned accolades in the 2-1 Drummers win. The win belongs to Michael Pace in relief. His record improves to 6-4. Roberto Esparza took the loss for Calgary. The 5th-place Drummers raised their record to 51-47.

The Drummers procured the win, in large part because of catcher Mark Hart. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Calgary manager Steve Duncan said following the tough loss.
