Pajaritos Take Down Pride, 3-1
|
The Norfolk Pajaritos got a magnificent performance from pitcher Martin Porter, who stifled the Hartford offense en route to a 3-1 Pajaritos win at Pride Park. Porter went 5 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 6-7. Nick Cummins finished to wrap up his 2nd save.
In the top of the sixth, Harrison Tudge delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Norfolk second baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Pajaritos in front, 3-1.
"Hustle and hard work is a big part of our success," said Tudge. "Those qualities define our team."
After today's action, Norfolk sits at 41-49; Hartford slips to 41-49.
