Martin Mullinger added some punch to the Calgary offense, helping them outmuscle the Sacramento Redlegs, 9-8. In the game, Mullinger, who is tied for 7th in the SAAA in runs scored with 46, went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. The win gives Calgary a season record of 53-34.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Lynx had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when right fielder Sonny Day hit a 3-run home run. The home run came off Bob Daniel and made the score 4-1, Lynx. Day went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Calgary manager Steve Duncan.
