Drummers Squelch Redlegs Offense in Shutout Win
|
The Tortolita Drummers knocked off the Sacramento Redlegs, 4-0, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Gene Haber was a big reason Tortolita won. The center fielder was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Billy Hansen, who went 5.1 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with no runs on 6 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 8. His record now stands at 4-4. The win makes Tortolita 44-39.
In the top of the fourth of a scoreless game, Haber hit a 3-run home run to put his team ahead.
