Drummers Fall Short, 4-3, at Sacramento
|
Sacramento Redlegs starter Bob Daniel was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Tortolita Drummers, 4-3. Daniel picked up the win for Sacramento, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Sacramento goes to 47-35, Tortolita to 43-39.
Jesús González dealt the Drummers a blow in the bottom of the fifth. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Sacramento leading 3-1, González, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in triples with 5, hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"We're all smiles after that win," Daniel told the Sacramento Citizen.
