The Hartford Pride topped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 7-1, in USSL Triple A action at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The standout performance belonged to Hartford pitcher and Charlotte, North Carolina, native David Fisher. Fisher, now 3-8, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Ellenburg's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Hartford used a well-timed hit by Clinton Dotson to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Pride ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We had a good game plan," Fisher said, "and we were able to execute it."
