The Calgary Lynx took Sacramento pitcher Seung-gwan Kim's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Sacramento Sanitation Station. The final score had Calgary getting past the Redlegs, 6-2. Kim went 7 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 7. Dave Lewis got the win, improving to 4-2. He worked 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. The 4th-place Lynx raised their record to 38-27.

Calgary used the bat of Pedro Palgon to capture the win. The third baseman jacked a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Lynx ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.

Palgon said afterward that the win gets the team one step closer to its goal.
