The Sacramento Redlegs weathered a fine game by Calgary first baseman Martin Mullinger to upend the Lynx, 6-4, at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Mullinger went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He scored 3 times. Bill Williams closed the door for Sacramento, picking up his 8th save of the year. The win puts Sacramento at 38-26 this season.

In the bottom of the sixth, Sacramento left fielder Theo Belcher gave his team the lead. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Rock and Roll hit his 7th home run of the year. Calgary pitcher Derrick Jones surrendered it. With that, the Redlegs jumped in front, 6-4.

"It's not about individual awards," Belcher told a Sacramento Citizen reporter after the game. "It's about winning championships. That's what we play for."
