Fighting Dachshunds Rally to Eke Out Win
Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds and Sacramento Redlegs.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds and the Sacramento Redlegs, Thomas Canó was the difference-maker. The Ellenburg left-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Ellenburg reliever Nelson Carrasco got the win, raising his record to 1-3. Sergio Carrasco was tagged with the loss.

Ellenburg needed the clutch hitting of Andrew Smith to notch the win. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the top of the 12th inning to put the Fighting Dachshunds on top, 3-2. For the game, Smith had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Ellenburg manager Marvin Hayes.

Ellenburg, with the win, is 19-42.
