Pride Jolt Redlegs, 2-1, with Late Rally

In a well-pitched game between the Hartford Pride and the Sacramento Redlegs, pitcher Bernardo Rivera was superb. The Hartford right-hander helped his team win, 2-1. Hartford reliever José Rivera was credited with the win, to go to 3-1. Roberto Sánchez took the loss for Sacramento. The win makes Hartford 22-38.
Hartford took a 2-1 lead on Corazon Guzman's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Guzman hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Sacramento pitcher Jeremy Gonzáles shaking his head.
Afterward, Pride manager Terry King was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
