Redlegs Pick Up 7-4 Win
|
The Sacramento Redlegs picked up a win at Sacramento Sanitation Station, taking down the Ft. Myers Marlins, 7-4. Starting pitcher Javier Dávila was a big reason why. The save went to Bill Williams, number 2 for him. The win gives Sacramento a season record of 30-21.
In the bottom of the sixth, Sacramento shortstop Victor Contrenas put his team on top. With one out and the bases loaded, he hit his 7th double of the year. Ft. Myers pitcher John Palmer served it up. Just like that, the Redlegs were ahead, 6-4.
"Been a rough stretch for us," said Ft. Myers manager Marvin Nelson.
