Salvador López was superb against Syracuse. The right-hander, who is tied for 9th in the SAAA with a 9.5 K/9 rate, had a cutter that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Lynx victory. The score was 7-4. Getting the save was Hyeong-ro Park, his 3rd. Calgary is now 26-18.

Calgary used the timely hitting of Mal Sweeney to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lynx on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Salvador just went about his business, throwing strikes," said Calgary manager Steve Duncan.
