Fog Shut Out Pajaritos, 5-0
|
The Sunset District Fog beat the Norfolk Pajaritos, 5-0, at Fog Park. The win was due in part to first baseman Lenny Hacking, who was 2-3 with a double and a walk. The win was credited to Rich Cheyney in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Dan Watson took the loss. The second-place Fog have won 4 in a row.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the seventh inning, but Rich Cheyney didn't flinch. With a runner on 2nd and Norfolk trailing 1-0, Cheyney retired John Stanley to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Cheyney, with a wink.
