Flyers Top Lynx to Even Record
|
The Pennsauken Flyers beat the Calgary Lynx, 1-0, at Pennsauken Park. Starting pitcher Jorge Quiñonez was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. In 5.1 innings, Quiñonez surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed no runs. The 6th-place Flyers have won 4 straight.
The Flyers got a big at-bat from left fielder Daniel Keys. For the game, Keys went 2 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Pennsauken a 1-0 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Keys said.
