Drummers Fall to Flyers, 3-0
|
In a tight affair between the Pennsauken Flyers and the Tortolita Drummers, pitcher Jorge Quiñonez was in the zone. The Pennsauken right-hander helped his team win the game, 3-0. The losing streak for Tortolita has now reached 5 games.
Pennsauken used the bat of Fred McElroy to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Flyers ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said McElroy.
