Dale Excels, But Redlegs Win
Ellenburg first baseman Jeffrey Dale had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 9-6, to Sacramento at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Dale slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 6 runs and scored twice. Ken Bryant picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Ambrosi Pigafetta was tagged with the loss. Ellenburg's current losing streak is now 4 games.

Sacramento used the clutch hitting of Jody Anderson to capture the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 9-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Sacramento manager John Brown.
