The Calgary Lynx and starting pitcher Alberto Nieves stifled the Tortolita offense en route to a comfortable 11-0 win at Lynx Stadium. Nieves went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 3, and struck out 7. His record improves to 2-0. The Lynx raised their record to 14-12.

Sumitomo Shimizu put Calgary in front, 5-0, when he took António Cisneros downtown. His grand slam home run came with no one out in the bottom of the second. It was his 4th home run of the season.

"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," Shimizu told the Calgary Chronicle.
