In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.

The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys weathered an outstanding game by Calgary second baseman Miguel Flores to topple the Lynx, 11-5. Flores was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. Picking up the win was Jeff Morehead. He went 6.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 1. François L'Écuyer recorded his 1st save for Syracuse.

Syracuse used the clutch hitting of Tim Wright to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Squirrel Monkeys the lead, 5-3. For the game, Wright had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Wright told the Syracuse Observer. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."

The first-place Squirrel Monkeys raised their record to 14-7.
