Fighting Dachshunds Topple Flyers, 6-1
The Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds got a good effort from starter Félix Montáñez in defeating the Pennsauken Flyers at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The final score was 6-1. Montáñez, now 1-2, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Marlon Harris earned the save, his 1st, for the Fighting Dachshunds.

The Fighting Dachshunds got an important contribution from shortstop George Williams, who in the bottom of the second hit a fastball into center for a 2-run double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Fighting Dachshunds ahead, 3-0.

Williams called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."

Ellenburg is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 16 games.
