Redlegs Topple Fighting Dachshunds, 5-0
|
Right-hander Gunnar Quinn mesmerized the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds while leading the Sacramento Redlegs to a 5-0 victory. Jason Thornton earned the save, his 1st, for the Redlegs. The loss drops Ellenburg to 5-10.
Ricardo Villanueva dealt the Fighting Dachshunds a blow in the bottom of the third. Batting with the bases loaded and Sacramento leading 1-0, Villanueva hit a 1-1 curveball for a 2-run single.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Villanueva.
