The Tortolita Drummers beat the Sacramento Redlegs, 7-6, at Drummers Ballpark. León García, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Cliff Scarlett, the winning pitcher, is now 2-0. He went 7 innings, allowing 4 runs on 5 hits, while fanning 6 and walking 3. Michael Pace collected his 3rd save.
García had a key at-bat for Tortolita early in the game. With runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Tortolita an early 5-2 lead.
"Nothing is scripted in this game," said García.
With the win, Tortolita lifts its record to 7-4.
