Redlegs Upend Drummers, 4-1
|
The Sacramento Redlegs got a strong performance from pitcher Roberto Sánchez, who stymied the Tortolita offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Drummers Ballpark. Sergio Carrasco got credit for the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. Jordan Jacobs picked up the save for Sacramento, his 1st of the year.
Sacramento used the clutch hitting of Shoraku Ito to capture the win. The designated hitter drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Redlegs the lead, 3-1. For the game, Ito had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"Throwing strikes was the main thing," Sánchez said.
With the loss, Tortolita falls to 6-4.
