Fighting Dachshunds Prevail, 3-1, Over Hartford
|
Ellenburg got a strong outing from Anastasio Ayala as the Fighting Dachshunds defeated the Hartford Pride, 3-1, at Dog Park in Ellenburg. Ellenburg is now 1-6.
The Fighting Dachshunds got a big at-bat from left fielder Andrew Smith. For the game, Smith went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Ellenburg a 2-0 lead.
Ayala called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
